The same route? / La misma ruta?

As of today the Red Line is now known as the 40. Route 40 travels much of the same route as the old Red Line, except it stops at Sky Harbor and doesn't continue downtown. I used the Red Line exclusively as a convenient way to reach my job at the ASU Mercado building in the downtown campus. Sadly I cannot rely on it anymore.

Instead I had to take a circuitous route to the light rail station on Washington and rode until the Washington/3rd St. stop. It was a bit of a walk to the Mercado but nothing major. The light rail is quite comfortable and fast but it doesn't fit my route to work as nicely as the Red Line. I am definitely sad to see the Red Line go but I'm hopeful that with time I will get used to the light rail and figure out an efficient route.

R.I.P Red Line, you will be missed :(
